Customer: Wyman Gordon Description: Independent Contract awarded for the reverse engineering of Mylar drawing conversion into CATIA 3D and 2D digital models for the MD-80 Titanium Wing Spar to check for areas of inadequate forging coverage during final machining operations.
Process included developing filleted pockets for a CATIA 3D forging model and final machine model from Mylar blueprints to check for proper material coverage for scrap prevention.
